Visible Year 8: Match Made at Visible

The Lord brought them together. It was a miracle. She is my soul mate. Bible college is “bridal college” in the church world. Visible Music College began with a policy of keeping students’ minds on the music and ministry at hand and mentored relationships for the first year to allow God to move in clear ways to committed young Christians who were growing exponentially and often just leaving their parents’ homes. We later shortened it to one semester of no dating so people could at least land in college successfully and solo before the mentored relationships began. Every couple needs help in growing and local church pastors and back home pastors and families help young people at music school work through early relationships at Visible. We help too.

That said, in year 7 we had the coupling of new relationships that created the term “visicouples” and eventually “visibabies” which has carried on to today.

We also had the bringing together of diverse talents and had a band arise that was pretty special to the school in 2007 - Cayerio. Corey Sanders is “Cayerio” and a Music Business alumni and his band included alumni, staff, and students in the same way Visible Community appreciates working - TOGETHER. They played shows at the school and toured in the summer of 2007 with our friends the Scottish band Superhero on the “Heroes of the Revolution” tour. A lot of great music and combos started out during the 2007-2008 year and came together around the upper classes and recent graduates working in Memphis. Worship leaders, solo artists, and bands of all types began recording in Memphis and Nashville on our in house record label Visible Media Group and many elsewhere.

Producers met songwriters.

Singers met guitarists.

Managers met bands.

Matches were made and there was a flurry of activity in the music world around Visible.Vibrant worship, great Winter Retreats, Alumni coming back as Staff, and a new energy for industry and ministry.
