About Visible
Creative. Christian. College.
Visible launched in Memphis, Tennessee in 2000. Our focus as a creative Christian community is bigger than any single church or artist. We believe music is important in the world and the global Church. We believe creative Christians have enormous impact as leaders in culture and developing the Church worldwide. Because of this, we create and partner with intimate, intentional artist communities throughout the world that emphasize training and higher education around five key concepts: the global kingdom of God, spiritual transformation, professional experience and leadership, academic fidelity to the Word, and the visible way of hospitality.

My experience with Visible Music College has been amazing.... From music production to concerts and leading worship.... They desire for each student to retain and put into practice what they are learning. This has been huge for me. Most schools are happy to leave it to their students to retain the information based on lectures and assignments. Visible Music does everything they can to help each student better understand their craft and succeed.
They are incredibly detailed in their course studies for each student and will cater to the levels of ability that each student has - whether further along or right at the level in which they are being instructed/taught!

Visible Music College is a unique college experience for anyone seeking to pursue a career in music. It has an awesome campus and the professors are very knowledgeable. It's located in the middle of downtown Memphis and has access to many music related opportunities. The job placement rate for graduates is very high.
Online school is never easy, but Visible made each course easy to access and relevant to the major the student is in. There are always professors and instructors ready and willing to help with any question a student may have!
It's a school unlike any I've tried applying for. It meets every requirement I had in choosing a school. The school is small and more personable while still maintaining a high quality education. With it not only being music affiliated but also ministry centered, it's the only place I want to go.
Our Timeline
Visible Music College was started by Ken Steorts who, while touring with his band Skillet, saw many young Christian musicians with great promise, but had little instruction, guidance, or purpose.
The Vision becomes Real
Visible Community School of Music and Worship Arts opened a one-year program at Grace Covenant Church Lakeland, TN
Non-Profit Status
Became 501c3 stand alone non-profit organization as Visible School; Visible Media Group starts making records
Accredited and Moving Forward
Accredited with TRACS - The Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools
First Bachelor's Degree Students Graduate
First 3 Bachelor graduates; Germany campus partnership launches
New Name and a New Campus
Move to 200 Madison Avenue Downtown on own campus property. During this time, the brand new record label called Madison Line Records begins in place of Visible Media Group.
New Degrees and Opportunities
In 2014, Chicago campus opens. In 2016, the Dallas campus opens; Masters degree programs launch. In 2017, Student Studio housing opens in Memphis. In 2018, our California campuses open with Bethel Conservatory of the Arts and the Online Campus opens with multiple partners

From performing on national TV shows like NBC’s The Voice to indie darlings Carolina Story, national tours with Mosaic worship or CCM stars like Terrian Bass, Visible alumni are on the charts, in the studio, and making a huge impact of leadership in the church.
