Jasmine Smith is one of my favorite students at Visible.
I know we are not supposed to say that kind of thing, but she is one of them. And she has an eye on you. We celebrate Visible students graduating on May 4 with a special pride - not only in who the students are personally but also how they represent Visible Music College, the variety of programs we offer to creatives, and the jobs they have lined up. Jasmine is a Media student who is graduating in Creative Leadership - Content Creation with a BA and big dreams of working at a TV station. She starts off as camera operator at Redbirds Stadium shooting the St. Louis Cardinals AAA baseball team across the street from Visible this summer.
Alumni of Visible are always part of the “Visible community” and Jasmine is truly a champion we will watch grow.
With a passion for worship music and Christian authors, Jasmine is a dedicated person behind the camera with an ever-ready godly spirit (and measured opinion) to always be a part of what is going on. Jasmine is a church girl, a real family woman, a young leader at Visible, a thoughtful encourager on social media, and a consistent employee (she often does her Student Worker hours on the 4th floor where I see her hard work). We are going to miss her determination in the community as she moves into true adulthood at work looking through the lens and telling stories. A Memphis native, Jasmine is one person that it has been my distinct pleasure to get to know and see grow over her few years here on campus.
Our Visible eye will be on her success as she watches the world bring the creative work to her - Jasmine will succeed!
