The certification is designed to introduce the student to the tools and techniques used to produce music in the modern recording studio. It also serves to nurture the student’s passion to serve the church or industry with Christian character.
The student will gain an introductory knowledge of current technology, recording techniques, and music production skills. Besides that there will also be opportunities to engineer student recordings and live sound settings of Visible Music College.
Skills and knowledge acquired in the program equip students to work as producers and engineers, and focuses on using industry-standard programs Logic and Pro Tools.

Many of the classes overlap topics of both music production and music engineering. The program is designed to introduce the student to the tools and techniques used to produce music in the modern recording studio, while nurturing the student’s passion to serve the church or industry with Christian character.
Students will be responsible for engineering all student recordings and live sound requirements of Visible Music College.

The student will gain an in-depth knowledge of current technology, recording techniques, and music engineering skills. Skills and knowledge acquired in the program equip students to work as producers, engineers, or to create a new studio business. This program also focuses on using industry-standard programs Logic and Pro Tools.
Online classes in the music engineering program at Visible feature small class sizes.
Visible stands out from similar classes at other colleges or universities. This allows students to still have easy access to instructors even in a fully online or hybrid format.
We utilize different delivery methods for teaching our classes.
The three delivery methods we use are local in-person classes, synchronous remote-delivery classes, and asynchronous online classes.
Local in-person classes are delivered at your teaching community by a local faculty member. Courses like Introduction to Recording and Mixing Techniques are primarily taught in-person. This allows us to utilize hands-on training with the equipment at each teaching community.
Synchronous remote-delivery classes are delivered between our teaching communities, with the faculty member being at one community and students connecting via Zoom from the same community as the faculty or from other communities. This allows us to utilize the faculty that is the best fit for certain subject matters regardless of location. Audio History and Aesthetics and Audio Business Administration are examples of classes delivered remotely.
Asynchronous online classes are delivered in a completely online format using lecture videos, discussion boards, and projects. Although sites like UDemy offer music production courses, it is not supported with live personal interaction.
This format is chosen for classes that are lecture-focused or software-focused. Fundamentals of Audio and Digital Audio Workstations are examples of classes delivered online. While the delivery method is online, you will still have an instructor who is guiding you through the course and is available to help with the content.
