Song To Table Conference is back with a focus on harvesting the song once it is created. The DIY claims of being able to make a song successful are a farce. Just like it would take a farmer forever to harvest their crop by hand, without the use of any tools so it is with a song. You need help telling the story of the song and then getting it to the table of the consumer. This involves more than just throwing a song up on Soundcloud. This year’s conference has a focus on those individuals who help harvest the song after it is grown. Those individuals who tell the story of the song and get it into the consciousness of those who may want to consume your song.

Visible Music College’s Song to Table Conference is about sharing success stories on how to thrive locally in a global economy. Creatives must learn to till the soil of both their local and virtual communities; to nourish those communities with the art those communities so desperately need, while creating ways of traceable revenue from those communities to nourish themselves.

Song To Table aims to create a social movement through a communal body of knowledge—knowledge that is shared freely in order to locally grow creatives who can then capitalize and monetize that knowledge into sustainable long-term careers.

Today’s musicians, poets, dancers, actors, and artisans must have a broad knowledge base and perform a variety of strategic entrepreneurial tasks in order to build simultaneously build a global niche and a local tribe of brand ambassadors. Song To Table believes Art is important, humans need it to be fully human, and the humans that create it should be able to make a living creating that art.
