The “Crime on Campus” reporting program is operated pursuant to the requirements of the “College and University Security Information Act”, (T.C.A. 49-7-2201, et. seq.) enacted by the General Assembly of the State of Tennessee, effective July 1, 1989. The Act requires each institution of higher education to report to the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation data relating to crimes occurring on the campus and in student housing.
The Bureau is required to prescribe the reporting form and format for the collection of such data and to publish an annual report of the results of such data submissions from each institution. The Tennessee Incident-Based Reporting System (TIBRS) offense classifications are based on FBI definitions, which are used as the national standard for statistical crime reporting.
“If you would like to file a Title IX report, you can do so by contacting the Title IX Coordinator ([email protected]). Reports can be filed at any time including during non-business hours to the Title IX Coordinator’s email address. While you may report anonymously, a decision to remain anonymous may greatly limit Visible Music College’s ability to stop the alleged conduct, collect evidence, or take action against parties accused of violating our Policies.”
