Our Acting Bachelor Degree students learn to become whole-hearted artists
Get your Degree in Acting in 3 years.
Our Acting Bachelor Degree program provides you with the unique opportunity to study your craft in a culture infused with Kingdom.
This 3-year intensive program focuses on establishing healthy mindsets and sustainable internal ecosystems to aid students in navigating the entertainment industry.
We have a unique presence-focused culture where acting technique is built upon a foundation of identity in Christ.
Our formal theatrical acting training is robust and includes a variety of acting techniques, movement, voice & speech, and on camera work. The final year focuses on performances and professional development culminating in a senior showcase for industry professionals.
A degree in Acting from Visible allows an actor to pursue graduate studies, teach, and prepare actors for regional theater and screen auditioning. Other benefits from obtaining an acting degree include: developing strong skills in public speaking, self-awareness, and the study of human behavior.
The life of an artist is a life of learning. Training and the development of craft take time. If your singular focus is to pursue a career in acting, and if you would like to understand how we do that in partnership with Holy Spirit, you will need all 3 years of training.
To sustain an acting career, an actor needs techniques to rely on. Appearance and stage presence will get you the audition, but the technique will book the job and create connections for future work. The vast majority of professional actors with successful careers have trained extensively. It takes time to develop the technique required to live truthfully under imaginary circumstances.
Students in our BA program receive world-class instruction from professionals who specialize in classical and contemporary acting techniques; voice and speech work for actors and singers including learning IPA and accents; intermediate levels of dance and performance opportunities in mainstage plays; and professional development classes to prepare for auditioning upon graduation.
Although we are still developing our musical theater emphasis, we do offer classical, contemporary, and broadway dance, as well as voice work in the BA.
Second-year students will focus on the development of techniques. They will be given opportunities to audition for supporting roles in the Third year productions and will participate in a devised new work at the end of the year.
Third-year students will perform in a fall and a spring black box production and also have the opportunity to audition for main stage supporting roles with the senior class.
Fourth-year students will perform in two fall shows, and two spring shows including a Senior Showcase for industry professionals.
Absolutely. Seniors focus on putting together their professional reels, headshots, and resumes and have the opportunity to audition for casting directors and agents in the Senior Showcase.
