VISIBLE SCHOOL is proud to offer Title IV Federal Aid (loans and grants) to all qualified students.
Applying for Financial Aid
- Complete Federal Income Tax forms as early as possible for both students and parents.
- Apply for your Federal FAFSA PIN Number for student AND at least one parent if not applying as an independent.
- Fill out the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) using figures from your federal tax forms. You can either complete the FAFSA online or obtain a paper copy at any high school or college, including VISIBLE SCHOOL. The VISIBLE SCHOOL school code number is 039823. Make sure to keep copies of your completed FAFSA.
- After your FAFSA is processed, the U.S. Department of Education will send you a Student Aid Report (SAR) via email. Read it carefully and check for accuracy. If necessary, make corrections and re-submit as directed on the SAR. If there are no corrections, keep the SAR for your records.
- The Financial Aid Office will receive your SAR electronically from the Central Processing System.
- You do not need to wait for your SAR to continue in the Financial Aid process. You will need your Estimated Family Contribution (EFC) calculated from your FAFSA to do the Virtual Financial Aid Office (VFAO) interview online. A processed interview will determine your eligibility, amount and schedule for Federal loans and/or grants. The Financial Aid Office will communicate the results and if there are any complications that need attention.
- If you are selected by the Department of Education to complete the verification process, the Financial Aid Office will inform you of the documents needed. Verification must be complete before you receive an official award notice.
- If you are not selected for the verification process, the Financial Aid Office will create a Financial Aid Award package and send you the list of Financial Aid you will be eligible to receive.
